HOUSE SIGNS

House signs are mostly made from wood and have the wording cut into the face. The letters are then filled with a contrasting colour and then the whole sign is varnished. The sign can be fixed with a keyhole slot bracket on the rear of the sign or using brass screws from the front.

Common woods that we use are Mahogany, Oak, and various veneers.

The example on the left is made from Oak.

The sign below has been painted off white and the letter filled with dark brown to suit the construction and style of the house. The corners have been ‘rounded out’ and rebated; many styles of sign edges are available.

This sign, left, made from mahogany, has been finished with a dark stain and the letters filled with cream.

Each sign can be as individual as you are with varying lettering, size, colour of letter and wood. Please contact us with your ideas.
