This process is mainly used by the plastic industry to engrave on the back of their products. The image can be seen through the clear or coloured plastic and provides a complete flat front surface, especially useful when a clean and dirt proof sign is required.

The die can be a simple production code or, as here, a complex customer’s logo.

This die is is made from mild steel, with letters 3mm deep, and will be heated so the logo can be burnt into wood.
